Gardline has a long history in the local area, based at our headquarters in Great Yarmouth. We are the world's largest independently owned survey company, supplying environmental, geotechnical, geophysical, hydrographic and oceanographic surveys for the offshore market including oil and gas and the offshore renewable sectors. Today the company operates worldwide, drawing on local expertise and knowledge of working offshore, and has a fleet of over 25 vessels.
Gardline was established over 40 years ago by George Darling and is still owned by his family. Over the years, the group has diversified into areas other than survey work such as satellite communications (GComm and AST), security services (GSL Dardan), electrical contractors (Independent Electrical Services) and property company Howards. However, the majority of Gardline’s business remains linked to the maritime sector.
